The Confederation College Fitness Centre is a recreational facility encompassing not only traditional free weights, cardio & nautilus equipment but also have additional services such as basketball, tennis (indoor/outdoor), squash, badminton, four lane track, and volleyball (indoor/beach).

The Canada Games Complex is the primary provider of aquatic and fitness activities in Thunder Bay and hosts provincial, national and international aquatic competitions. It is more than an aquatic facility - it is a total fitness and recreation center providing access through memberships, pay-as-you-go and fitness and aquatic programs for all ages.

Thunder Bay District Health Unit provides public health information for residents of the Thunder Bay District in Northwestern Ontario. We investigate reportable diseases, animal bites, and other public health complaints. Topics on this site include vaccines, clinics, rabies, food safety, hazard investigation, injury prevention, sexual health, heart health, healthy babies and families, home safety, drugs, alcohol, preventing cancer and living a healthy lifestyle.

In 1884, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie opened the first hospital in Port Arthur to meet the needs of the men working on the railroad. Since then, St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) has responded to the unmet needs of the community by changing over time and delivering new and innovative programs.

Programs and services are provided throughout the community and at 9 different sites, including: Balmoral Centre, Behavioural Sciences Centre, Diabetes Health Thunder Bay, Hogarth Riverview Manor, Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Sister Margaret Smith Centre, St. Joseph's Health Centre, St. Joseph's Heritage and St. Joseph's Hospital.

These facilities are operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie, sponsored by the Catholic Health Corporation of Ontario and managed by a local volunteer Board of Directors.

St. Joseph's Care Group's broad program areas are: Physical Rehabilitation & Complex Care, Mental Health & Addiction Services, and Long-Term Care Services. SJCG has approximately 1700 employees, 400 volunteers and an annual operating budget of $125 Million (Canadian).

Thunder Bay Counselling Centre is a non-profit community based agency governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. Our services are available to all citizens of the Thunder Bay area. We provide counselling, support, education and advocacy for individuals, couples, families and community.

Our state of health and wellness is greatly influenced by emotional, physical, chemical, social, spiritual and environmental factors. When conflict and imbalance arise, deep seated tension develops in our body/mind that is often reflected by the shape, tone, and tension of our spinal chord, and spinal structures. This tension is intricately linked to our health, recovery from illness, ability to adapt to stress, and overall well-being.
