Advocating for the rights and quality of life of persons with an intellectual disability so that they may live a meaningful life; Educating and supporting the community to share the Vision of CLTB so that persons with an intellectual disability are respected and valued; Providing services and support to persons with an intellectual disability, and to their families, so that persons with an intellectual disability have the opportunity to participate effectively in all elements of living in the community; and
Being accountable to persons with an intellectual disability, their families, the membership of CLTB, and the broader community for our advocating, educating, and provision of services and support.

Interpretation and translation in over 40 languages for documents/certificates, medical appointments/emergencies, immigration, etc.
Community programs for recent newcomers including English as a Second Language, Citizenship Preparation, Drivers Education Preparation, Community Development, etc.
Cross-cultural/race relations information on cultural adjustments of newcomers, etc.
Language instruction for newcomers to Canada assessments to rate English language levels according to the Canadian Language Benchmark assessment
Matching newcomers with volunteers to assist with adjustment to Canadian society.
The Association also works with a wide variety of local groups and organizing committees to bring a multicultural flare to area festivals and events.

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board
The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) one of the 47 delivery agents - was established through default provision to deliver social services in the territorial district of Thunder Bay.
The Board is responsible for the delivery of Ontario Works, Community Child Care and Social Housing.

St. Joseph's Care Group
In 1884, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie opened the first hospital in Port Arthur to meet the needs of the men working on the railroad. Since then, St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) has responded to the unmet needs of the community by changing over time and delivering new and innovative programs.
Programs and services are provided throughout the community and at 9 different sites, including: Balmoral Centre, Behavioural Sciences Centre, Diabetes Health Thunder Bay, Hogarth Riverview Manor, Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Sister Margaret Smith Centre, St. Joseph's Health Centre, St. Joseph's Heritage and St. Joseph's Hospital.
These facilities are operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie, sponsored by the Catholic Health Corporation of Ontario and managed by a local volunteer Board of Directors.
St. Joseph's Care Group's broad program areas are: Physical Rehabilitation & Complex Care, Mental Health & Addiction Services, and Long-Term Care Services. SJCG has approximately 1700 employees, 400 volunteers and an annual operating budget of $125 Million (Canadian).

Rotary Club of Port Arthur Thunder Bay
Through the years, the Club has made significant contributions to youth activities, sports, senior citizens, the Arts, social and community services, and international projects. The Club has participated in the Group Study Exchange Program or the Rotary Foundation, in the High School Exchange Program, the RYLA Program, and we have sponsored and hosted graduate students in the Scholarship Program.
