Advocating for the rights and quality of life of persons with an intellectual disability so that they may live a meaningful life; Educating and supporting the community to share the Vision of CLTB so that persons with an intellectual disability are respected and valued; Providing services and support to persons with an intellectual disability, and to their families, so that persons with an intellectual disability have the opportunity to participate effectively in all elements of living in the community; and
Being accountable to persons with an intellectual disability, their families, the membership of CLTB, and the broader community for our advocating, educating, and provision of services and support.

Interpretation and translation in over 40 languages for documents/certificates, medical appointments/emergencies, immigration, etc.
Community programs for recent newcomers including English as a Second Language, Citizenship Preparation, Drivers Education Preparation, Community Development, etc.
Cross-cultural/race relations information on cultural adjustments of newcomers, etc.
Language instruction for newcomers to Canada assessments to rate English language levels according to the Canadian Language Benchmark assessment
Matching newcomers with volunteers to assist with adjustment to Canadian society.
The Association also works with a wide variety of local groups and organizing committees to bring a multicultural flare to area festivals and events.

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) one of the 47 delivery agents - was established through default provision to deliver social services in the territorial district of Thunder Bay.
The Board is responsible for the delivery of Ontario Works, Community Child Care and Social Housing.

From its official inception on June 14, 1930, the mandate of the Fort William Male Choir, as stated in its Constitution, was and remains today At promote interest in male chorus singing and in general to foster interest in the Lakehead Musical Culture. For almost eight decades, this group has done just that, and as their numbers and fame grew, their musical influence spread beyond the local boundaries to national and international spheres.

Thunder Bay Community Bingo is a charity owned and operated not-for-profit corporation dedicated to its member charities and non-profit organizations. These charities offer a wide range of services and supports to the citizens of Thunder Bay.

The Thunder Bay Business Women's Network is an organization for business and professional women who are committed to the growth and development of themselves, their business and the community.

In 1884, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie opened the first hospital in Port Arthur to meet the needs of the men working on the railroad. Since then, St. Joseph's Care Group (SJCG) has responded to the unmet needs of the community by changing over time and delivering new and innovative programs.

Programs and services are provided throughout the community and at 9 different sites, including: Balmoral Centre, Behavioural Sciences Centre, Diabetes Health Thunder Bay, Hogarth Riverview Manor, Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Sister Margaret Smith Centre, St. Joseph's Health Centre, St. Joseph's Heritage and St. Joseph's Hospital.

These facilities are operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Sault Ste. Marie, sponsored by the Catholic Health Corporation of Ontario and managed by a local volunteer Board of Directors.

St. Joseph's Care Group's broad program areas are: Physical Rehabilitation & Complex Care, Mental Health & Addiction Services, and Long-Term Care Services. SJCG has approximately 1700 employees, 400 volunteers and an annual operating budget of $125 Million (Canadian).

The Thunder Bay Sexual Assault/Sexual Abuse Counselling and Crisis Centre is a non-profit, incorporated organization that has provided service since 1975.

Through the years, the Club has made significant contributions to youth activities, sports, senior citizens, the Arts, social and community services, and international projects. The Club has participated in the Group Study Exchange Program or the Rotary Foundation, in the High School Exchange Program, the RYLA Program, and we have sponsored and hosted graduate students in the Scholarship Program.

The Thunder Bay International Baseball Association (TBIBA), a not-for-profit organization, was created in late 2002, with its primary objective being to bid for and host national and international baseball events.

Our Kids Count is dedicated to strengthening, supporting, and empowering families in creating a caring environment for their children.

Student Union of Confederation College Inc. (SUCCI) provides a wide variety of excellent student-friendly services and enhance a student's overall College experience. Special events, activities, student employment, health plan, campus recreation and varsity athletics are part of the services available through SUCCI.

Our integrated approach to resource management leads to a wide range of programs and projects, which are aimed at keeping our watersheds healthy. We improve quality of life by actively providing open space and protecting life and property from flooding and erosion, as well as restoring and conserving aquatic and natural habitats. In addition to serving our watershed residents, we also provide advice and counsel to all levels of government on the responsible management of water.

The Construction Association of Thunder Bay represents over 205 professional builders, specialty trade contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, design consultants and infrastructure builders active in Northwestern Ontario.
