Want list a classified ad?

OutrightClassifieds.com is our classifieds advertising network site and it is designed for non-commercial business use and distributes the ads via RSS to other websites like this one (NWOntario.net) as a classified listing. If you are a commercial business looking to advertise something, you would probably want the OutrightBargains.com site which also posts ads on this and other sites however done as an ad banner instead of a classified listing. If you are a Northwestern Ontario business / organization / or service provider looking to post an ad banner on this site, then go to the Outright Bargains service page.

Getting Started

First you can register on the OutrightClassifieds.com site, fill in the fields as you would in any other site. The information collected on this site is used only for administration purposes. It is important that the information is correct and up to date as this information is the only way for the site to interact with you regarding your account and classified ads you post.  You don't have to register, you can post anonymously, however it is easier for you to register if you are going to use this service repeatably.

Here is a helpful hint: Posting classified ads are free complements of NWOntario.net site. When you get to the shopping cart use code 'nwo-freebie' to post your ad FREE!

Making best use of your FREE ad

Placing an ad starts at the 'sell' tab:

Pick a category for your ad, try to pick one that best matches your item you are selling.

Placing right information in the right place.

1. Duration - Pick whatever one you want (with the freebie code, they are all free).
2. Title - This is what is at the top of your classified ad and is displayed as a clickable link.
3. Description - The 'body' of your ad / listing.
4. Tags - Words that you think people would use to find your item.
5. Location - THIS IS IMPORTANT! - If you want your classified ads to show up on this site you must choose 'Northwestern Ontario' not 'Ontario'. Ontario is a BIG place and ads for other parts of Ontario are excluded from Northwestern Ontario ads.

The rest should be optional or already filled in, just review the rest of the fields to make sure they contain what you want.

Image & File Upload - You should have at least one image for your ad to work in all listings (some require an image), again to take full advantage of this advertising system you should get an image of your item or use an image of a for sale sign. If you have none at all then upload a blank/invisible image just so your ad will be compatible in all listings. You can always log back in and change/edit your ad later if you come up with a better image.

Shopping Cart - If you use the freebie code, then the cost should be free. If you have forgotten the code or I have changed it, then you can logout and login later after you found the current freebie code. Once you log back in, go to 'View Cart' to check on the status of your ad order (BTW - if the shopping cart or the checkout goes blank / times out, just click on the view cart to get it back). Contact the admin of NWOntario.net if you think there is a problem regarding the freebie code.

Not using the 'freebie' code - Thank You! - OutrightClassifieds.com uses PayPal as the payment processor, just continue to the checkout. As a purchaser of services (such as classified ads) you are fully protected, sellers (ex: OutrightClassifieds.com) do not ever have access to your financial information (ex: Credit Card Info.) and once the payment is processed your ad is placed into listings immediately.
